Toledo

Toledo is a municipality located in central Spain, 70 km south of Madrid. It is the capital of the province of Toledo. It is also the capital of autonomous community of Castile–La Mancha. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 for its extensive cultural and monumental heritage as one of the former capitals of the Spanish Empire and place of coexistence of Christian, Muslim and Jewish cultures, as well as the place where harsh religious persecutions were held against the Jews by the Visigoths.

This morning very early I have took my car to do this travel from Elche to Toledo. (4 hours more or less)
Always I have read that Toledo is an amazing city,a medieval city where you can walking around the street and feel the magic of the place.
I do the check in and I begin to walk  :

The first to do is buy a map of the city ,because there are a lot of places to visit

Every people told me that Toledo has specially sweets ,cakes and the famous "Mazapán of Toledo" . And when I try this amazing "mazapanes" is incredible .

First stop, Army Museum :

And now Torture Museum . Is horrible think about  this machine killing people

And walking and walking I see Templar knights museum :

Walking around the city I see people disguised about Star Wars and they tell me that tomorrow there will be an event about Star Wars. Fantastic!!!

Walking in the early morning around the streets of Toledo is fantastic. The silence is complete and you can feel the peace of mind .
The first to see today is the amazing Cathedral :

The Cathedral of Toledo (Catedral de Toledo) was built between 1226–1493 and modeled after the Bourges Cathedral, though it also combines some characteristics of the Mudéjar style. It is remarkable for its incorporation of light and features the Baroque altar called El Transparente, several stories high, with fantastic figures of stucco, paintings, bronze castings, and multiple colors of marble, a masterpiece of medieval mixed media by Narciso Tomé topped by the daily effect for just a few minutes of a shaft of light from which this feature of the cathedral derives its name.

While I was walking I listened a beautiful song and I can see that is "Ana Alcaide"

Now is the moment to try the famous "tapas" of  Toledo in a great place called "Enebro"

And now to visit Greco Museum,San Servando castle and Santa Cruz museum

Historical swords and souvenirs of Toledo (very very expensive)

It has been an amazing weekend and now is time to return to home.  Bye!!
